# Manage your RAIDEN team: roles, invites, and access

> Add team members, assign the right role for each person's responsibilities, manage pending invites, and change roles as your team evolves.

RAIDEN uses a role-based access model with four roles. You can invite team members directly from the product — each invite generates a link you send to the recipient. Owners and Admins can manage the team; only Owners have access to certain account-level settings.

## Roles

| Role | What they can do |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Owner** | Full access — team management, M365 connection, all settings including owner-only settings |
| **Admin** | Full access except owner-only settings — can invite users and change roles |
| **Analyst** | View and action cases and alerts, mark false positives, export reports |
| **Viewer** | Read-only access to cases and alerts |

<Info>
  Assign the **Analyst** role to anyone who needs to investigate alerts and take response actions. Assign **Viewer** to stakeholders who need visibility without the ability to make changes.
</Info>

  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy and send the link">
    Copy the invite link from the **Pending Invites** list and send it to the team member directly — via email, Slack, or your preferred channel.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Invite links are valid for **7 days** from the time they are generated. If a link expires before the team member accepts it, generate a new one from **Settings → Team**.
</Note>

## Managing pending invites

Pending invites appear in the **Pending Invites** list in **Settings → Team**. From there you can:

* **Copy the link again** if you need to resend it
* **Regenerate the link** if it has expired — this creates a new 7-day link and invalidates the old one

Only Owners and Admins can manage pending invites.

## Changing a user's role

To change the role of an existing team member:

1. Go to **Settings → Team**
2. Find the team member in the list
3. Select their new role from the role dropdown next to their name
4. The change takes effect immediately

<Warning>
  Downgrading a team member's role (for example, from Analyst to Viewer) takes effect immediately. They will lose access to any actions their new role does not permit.
</Warning>
